About this site
Graceful Farm House is a small WordPress publication. We post articles and do not sell products or run ads. There is no newsletter and no account signup for readers. Comments may be open on some posts. This policy explains what information reaches us through the site and why we keep it.
Information we receive
You can read the site without telling us who you are. The information we do receive falls into these categories:
- Server and CDN logs created automatically when your browser requests a page (such as IP address, user agent, the address of the page requested, and time of request).
- Emails you choose to send to us. If you write to one of our addresses, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message, plus any headers or attachments your mail client includes.
- Comments you submit on a post, if comments are open. When you leave a comment, WordPress collects the text you enter, your name and email address (as you provide them), your IP address, and your browser user agent to help with moderation and spam detection.
Cookies and local storage
This site uses a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to work:
- If you leave a comment, WordPress may offer to save your name, email address, and site in cookies on your device so you do not have to retype them next time. These are optional and last for up to one year.
- WordPress sets session cookies for logged-in site administrators and editors. These apply only to our staff, not to regular readers.
What we do not use
To make it clear what is not happening on gracefulfarmhouse.com:
- No analytics platform is installed.
- No advertising or affiliate tracking runs on the site.
- We do not sell anything here and do not take orders or payments.
- There is no contact form and no email newsletter signup on the site.
How we use the information
We use server and CDN logs to deliver the site reliably, secure it, diagnose problems, and understand site performance. We use comment details to publish your comment, moderate abuse, and prevent spam. We use email correspondence to reply to you, handle editorial and rights inquiries, and maintain records of those communications when needed.
Who can see it
Access to any information we hold is limited to the site’s administrators and editors who need it for site operations. Our hosting provider and content delivery network process server and CDN logs as part of providing their services to us. Aside from what you choose to publish in a public comment, we do not publish or sell personal information.
Retention
Server and CDN logs are typically kept for a short operational period, then rotated or deleted by the hosting and caching layers. Comment data, once approved, remains part of the public record of the post unless you ask us to remove it or we moderate it for policy reasons. Email correspondence may be kept for as long as needed for our records and to resolve inquiries.
Legal bases
Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we process server and CDN logs and comment metadata as necessary for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and maintaining the site. We process emails and comment content as necessary to perform the service you request when you contact us or post a comment.
Your choices and rights
You can browse without leaving a comment. If you do comment, you may later ask us to edit or remove it. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it when we no longer need it. You may also object to or restrict certain processing where applicable.
If you believe your data protection rights have been infringed, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We invite you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
Children
Our content is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page. The most recent version will always be available at gracefulfarmhouse.com.
